Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery and readiness of equipment in accordance with operational requirements. This role plays a key part in improving the Division's maintenance-related nonproductive time within the Maintenance Base (MB) and enhancing overall maintenance efficiency and workforce productivity.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform maintenance on assigned equipment in alignment with the applicable maintenance program and in full compliance with the reliability-centered maintenance framework. Ensure all activities are documented within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and executed according to established standard work procedures.
- Operational Documentation:
Maintain strict transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems, accurately recording materials, supplies, labor hours, equipment movement, work orders, parts consumption, and maintenance cycle durations.
Ensure adherence to all Division TLM standards and operational guidelines.
Participate actively in the MB's continuous improvement culture, contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing asset utilization and reducing the cost of service delivery (CoSD).
- Asset Turnaround Optimization:
Support efforts to reduce asset turnaround time by minimizing downtime associated with maintenance, spare parts availability, return authorization processes, equipment failures, and work-in-process delays.
- Productivity Enhancement:
Contribute to initiatives designed to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
- Cost of Service Delivery (CoSD) Projects:
Execute CoSD-focused projects, including planned repair and reuse programs for components and parts.
Participate in assigned equipment failure investigations, ensuring root causes and corrective actions are documented and acted upon.
Maintain compliance with the TLM Competency Management System and complete required training in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Experience maintaining mechanical or electromechanical equipment using a CMMS.
- Ability to accurately document maintenance activities in TLM systems.
- Strong commitment to reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement.
- Relevant certifications or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance.
