Based in Indianapolis, UTS Engineering is deeply involved in electric utility sector, offering expertise in medium and high voltage systems. As we chart the future of power grids, we are inviting driven individuals to be foundational members of our rapidly expanding venture.
**Position: Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Engineer I**
**Role and Responsibilities:**
- Direct and perform engineering and design for T&D projects (medium or high voltage infrastructure). This could include a circuit rebuild, voltage conversion, overhead to underground conversion, or many other types of work.
- Take charge of your projects. After thorough training, we trust you to be the steward of your responsibilities.
**What a Day-In-The-Life might look like**
- Conducting field visits using our company vehicles to assess and document project requirements.
- Performing load-stress analysis on transmission and distribution structures.
- Drafting a conductor Plan and Profile drawing in AutoCAD ensuring compliance with NESC safety standards.
- Developing construction blueprints, project Bill of Materials, and precise project estimates using your engineering insights.
