We are seeking an experienced Control System Engineer to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and commission industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Allen Bradley PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation within regulated environments (pharmaceutical preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, modify, and commission Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC systems using Studio 5000 / RSLogix
- Design and support SCADA and HMI systems, including GE Proficy iFIX and FactoryTalk View ME
- Specify and procure control system hardware and instrumentation
- Read and interpret engineering documents including P&IDs, control schematics, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings
- Develop and maintain Functional Specifications (FS), Hardware Design Specifications (HDS), and Software Design Specifications (SDS) in compliance with GAMP standards
- Develop and configure PC-based relational databases
- Support installation and commissioning of control systems per project timelines and budgets
- Prepare technical reports and project status updates for stakeholders
- Perform value engineering to improve reliability, safety, quality, and cost efficiency
- Support technical service and troubleshooting activities
- Collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and customers, including occasional travel (domestic/international)
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (CompactLogix) and Studio 5000 / RSLogix
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems (GE iFIX, FactoryTalk View ME)
- Knowledge of Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols
- Experience in control system design, debugging, and commissioning
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical engineering drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with IP network design and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Experience with capital equipment / engineered-to-order systems
- Exposure to validation, change control, and FDA-regulated environments is a plus
Preferred Experience:
- Pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing industry experience
- Experience with GAMP documentation and validation procedures
- Knowledge of MRP, BOM, and inventory control systems
- Experience integrating multi-vendor automation systems
- Experience with refrigeration or complex industrial control systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8–10 years of experience in automation/control systems engineering
- Strong project management experience with proven delivery record

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
