Description The Offshore Safety Professional will serve as the on-site HSE resource, working closely with offshore leadership and crews to ensure all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Must have prior offshore experience - no exceptions
- Provide day-to-day HSE support for offshore operations
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and safety procedures
- Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), risk assessments, and hazard identification
- Lead or participate in incident investigations and follow-up actions
- Perform regular safety audits, inspections, and safety observations
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and onboarding orientations
- Support emergency response preparedness and drills (fire, spill, man overboard, etc.)
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all crews and contractors
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and KPI tracking
- Interface with client representatives and offshore leadership teams
Requirements - 3+ years of offshore oil & gas safety experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of offshore HSE practices, PTW systems, and risk management
- Experience with audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Ability to work rotational schedules offshore (e.g., 14/14 or 28/28)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Certifications: - BOSIET / HUET
- TWIC Card
- SafeGulf (or equivalent)
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification
