Job#: 3029266 Job Description: Business AnalystLocation: Stillwater, Minnesota (Hybrid)Employment Type: Contract Role OverviewAn experienced Business Analyst is sought for a high-impact initiative focused on perpetual inventory within the retail and grocery sector. This role is central to bridging business operations, technology, and vendor partners to ensure accurate inventory flow. The position involves both strategic planning and hands-on process discovery within retail store environments. Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with business stakeholders including Operations, Merchandising, and Accounts Payable to gather, document, and align requirements.Support the rollout of backdoor receiving capabilities to complement existing systems and enable progress toward perpetual inventory.Conduct on-site discovery at retail locations to understand and document real-world processes and inventory flows.Develop clear documentation, including process flows, diagrams, and written requirements to support implementation.Coordinate and collaborate with external vendors to support EDI integration and supplier onboarding.Serve as a solution-oriented team player who partners with stakeholders to move projects forward.Support pilots and implementations, which may require on-site presence at store locations.Required Qualifications3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting large or complex initiatives.Demonstrated experience working in retail environments; grocery retail experience is preferred.Understanding of inventory concepts, with direct experience in perpetual inventory initiatives highly preferred.Experience working within a formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and supporting cross-functional project teams.Proficiency in creating diagrams, workflows, and clear written artifacts.Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft collaboration tools.Ability to engage directly with business partners and store-level personnel in operational settings.Work EnvironmentThis role offers a hybrid and flexible work style, with an expectation of 2–3 days per week on-site depending on project needs. On-site work may include time in offices, warehouses, or retail backrooms to support discovery and implementation.
