We are looking for an experienced project manager or trained engineer to support our manufacturing operations. We are a multi-facility metal stamping, fabricating, and finishing business with a regular, recurring cycle of products that we make. And an active list of short and long-term improvement projects. We need your skills to organize, document, and execute productivity-improving projects. You will help us execute and improve our manufacturing and maintenance systems, processes, and methods.
The ideal candidate must be reliable, a clear communicator, hands-on, and be able to plan and work-on different kinds of activities simultaneously. He/She must be capable to use mathematical calculations and 3D modeling/ 2D CAD software. The goal is to maintain the company's core capabilities and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to help of skilled team produce high quality parts and assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Work with management, other technical personnel, and production staff in technical areas to meet production and quality goals
- Plan and execute project activities for the day-to-day running of our business
- Provide constructive guidance mechanical and CNC equipment and related systems
- Interact regularly with operations teams to support organizational objectives
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures, data capture and analysis, and quality verification methods
- Monitor and report on performance of key operational functions
- Revise and/or formulate procedures for set-ups and production flow
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners/ vendors
Skills
- Proven experience or training in specific metal manufacturing areas
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, rules, and guidelines
- In depth knowledge of key business functions and principles (production, process flow, and/ or maintenance)
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics
- Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (ERP, AutoCAD)
- BSc/BA in relevant field; technical background is a plus
