Mechanical Engineer at VA Hospital
We are seeking an experienced licensed Mechanical Engineer who will be located at the Durham VA hospital in North Carolina. This position is an hourly contract position with a maximum of 40 hours a week. The contract is for one year with two extension option years. The candidate must be a United States Citizen to work on this federal property. We are not able to offer any kind of visa sponsorship, like H1B.

Responsibilities:
- Review Mechanical Drawings: Dive into the details of mechanical designs, ensuring precision and functionality.
- Conduct Construction Inspections: Be the on-site expert, verifying that the design is faithfully implemented.
- Prepare Site Visit Reports: Your observations will shape the course of hospital projects.
- Prepare Scopes of Work: Contribute your expertise to defining project objectives.
- Evaluate Contractor Performance: Your insights will drive excellence in project execution.
- Ensure System Sequences of Operations: Verify that air handler units, chillers, and heating systems are operating seamlessly.
- Bid Phase Collaboration: Collaborate with contractors during the bid phase to ensure design integrity.
- Field Verification: Assess existing systems for renovation projects, providing essential data.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
