Our advocacy client in Washington, DC is looking for a Network Administrator & System Architect to join their team full time starting as soon as possible.In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC.As the Network Administrator & System Architect, you will be working under the Director of Information Technology and within the IT team made up of 5 other people. The Network Administrator & System Architect will be supporting and managing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable network performance, system security, and day-to-day operations across all offices.The Network Administrator & System Architect will be responsible for: - Managing and maintaining network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), including routers, switches, and firewalls - Administering Microsoft environments and core systems - Supporting and maintaining VolP phone systems - Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving network performance and reliability - Implementing and maintaining security, backups, and system updates - Assisting with infrastructure upgrades, documentation, and user supportREQUIREMENTS: - 2+ years of experience with Microsoft systems and network administration - Hands on experience with routers and switches (Cisco & Palo Alto preferred) - Experience supporting phone systems - Basic knowledge of network security and troubleshooting In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
