We are seeking a Structural Engineer who is motivated, detail-driven, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Position Overview
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and development of structural systems for a variety of residential and commercial projects. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for wood, steel, and concrete structures
- Prepare structural calculations, reports, and construction documents
- Develop and review drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and consultants to integrate structural systems
- Ensure designs comply with the latest building codes and applicable standards
- Conduct site visits as needed to verify existing conditions and support construction
- Review project drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
- Assist in permitting and plan check responses
Qualifications
- California Professional Engineer licensure in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (required)
- 3–5+ years of structural engineering experience
- EIT required; PE license (or in progress) strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of the California Building Code and structural design standards
- Proficiency in Revit
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, Enercalc, or similar)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on residential and light commercial projects
- Familiarity with permitting processes in California
- Interest in long-term professional growth and licensure
