Master Compliance Engineer- EMC Regulatory and Energy Test Engineer
This role has been designed as ''Onsite' with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.
Job Description:A Sr. EMC Electrical Engineer, Energy Efficiency and Global Compliance, who is responsible to ensure products meet EMC and energy efficiency regulatory requirements as needed. Position involves working closely with, providing guidance, and testing in an ISO 17025 environment for global Compute new product development teams so legal and market requirements are met.
EMC Engineering:- System and component EMC Design consultant who designs and de-bugs engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines including PCB EMC focused design reviews
- Develops and implements parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of electromagnetic interference and system power measurements.
- Leads project teams of other electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for complex products.
- Owner/editor of corporate standards for topical area.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution including OEM EMC data and reporting review/corrections and submissions.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
Energy Efficiency Regulations and Voluntary:- Test engineer and consultant for Lot9, eStar, EPEAT, and other HPE/ODM testing.
- Energy efficiency consultant to the bios teams with energy efficiency / power management debug focus.
- OEM Energy Test data and reporting review/corrections and submissions.
- Energy Test Debug and Solutions.
EMC Laboratory:- Intimately familiar with execution of and working in an ISO17025 environment
- EMC setup and test planning and tracking activities, including associated server OS and driver installs, FW updates, functional debug, etc.
- Project tracking- write and maintain database and maintain the LDMS database and code which manages our quality system.
- Lab LRSM, maintain network and department network servers.
- Finalize and publish all test reports.
- Lead on-site calibration activities.
- Perform all tests within the lab.
Knowledge and Skills:- Using electrical design tools and software packages.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions.
- Evaluating, proposing, and selecting forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and emissions management to be used across the organization.
- History of innovation with multiple patents in the field of electronics packaging.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
