Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the development, improvement, and maintenance of mechanical systems used in warehouse automation. The role involves designing mechanical components, supporting equipment installations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient operation of automated processes. Working hours are typically 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies used in warehouse automation systems.
- Prepare and update technical drawings, documentation, and specifications using standard engineering tools.
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to ensure safety, performance, and durability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support the integration of mechanical designs into overall system operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities related to mechanical workflows, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all mechanical work complies with applicable safety guidelines and company engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (any major platform acceptable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to automated systems, industrial machinery, or material-handling environments.
- Experience supporting field testing, equipment maintenance, or prototype development.
- Familiarity with common mechanical components used in automation settings.
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
