ob Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced mechatronic products by translating stakeholder needs into well-defined system and subsystem requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Management, Solution Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and safety-compliant solutions throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document stakeholder requirements, business goals, and system objectives.
- Develop and maintain system, subsystem, and interface requirements with full traceability.
- Create Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and detailed subsystem specification documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout product development.
- Perform requirements decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation activities.
- Conduct impact analysis for engineering changes and evolving customer requirements.
- Support system architecture development and conceptual design activities.
- Work with Functional Safety Engineers to perform HARA, STPA, FMEA, and other safety analyses.
- Ensure functional safety requirements are integrated into product designs.
- Lead technical reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer expectations.
- Review verification plans, validation procedures, and system test documentation.
- Support feature estimation, risk assessment, proposal development, and customer technical discussions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 4–7 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Requirements Engineering.
- Strong experience throughout the complete product development lifecycle.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, Polarion, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of hardware development, systems architecture, and systems integration.
- Experience with functional safety methodologies including HARA, STPA, FMEA, or similar analyses.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum development environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, or advanced mechatronic products.
- INCOSE SEP or CPRE Certification.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
