Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Data Center)
Location: Canonsburg, PA
Type: 6 month Contract
Compensation: $70.00 - $76.00
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to deliver detailed design of large-scale data center environments while following all company, client and project design standards.
- Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects on scope, budget, and schedule.
- Incorporate schedules, budgets, and project criteria into physical design and layouts.
- Possess a willingness to function in multiple job roles simultaneously.
- Provide guidance and insight into design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency.
- Conduct field surveys, drawings, and other data to assess conditions of existing facilities and develop summary reports.
- Prepare and/or review technical drawings to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
- Review drawing and modeling production work, including problem analysis.
- Provide guidance to ensure that designs comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Compile data and create engineering studies and reports.
- Perform detailed calculations as needed by the project.
- Mentor, provide guidance, and supervise junior-level engineers and designers.
- Provide training for other technical personnel.
- Coordinate with internal and external clients to determine proper requirements for projects.
- Support business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand the scope of the pursuit.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a desire to train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to drive results, set priorities, and plan effectively.
- Skilled in delegating, leading teams, and managing project schedules, budgets, and staffing.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and challenge current assumptions.
- Attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Understanding and application of engineering design principles and standards.
- Professional registration or licensure in engineering or actively pursuing it.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
