This position is based at the Bulgana Wind Farm, located in Australia. The successful candidate must reside in the local area no further than 1 hours drive from the site.

How You'll Make an Impact

Accessing wind turbine towers to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance;
Troubleshooting or repair mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions related to variable pitch systems, variable speed control systems, converter systems, and related components;
Inspecting the exterior and physical integrity of towers;
Maintaining tool and spare parts inventories required for repair, installation or replacement services;
Replacing worn or malfunctioning components, and;
Record keeping and reporting.

What You Bring

Hold an electrical trade qualification registered in Victoria or an equivalent mechanical trade qualification.
Have experience preparing and using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
Possess a current unrestricted Australian driver's license and be comfortable working at heights.
Ideally have prior experience in the wind industry or large-scale industrial projects.
Holding a current GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certificate is highly desirable.
Demonstrate strong safety and environmental awareness, a high-performance mentality, and pride in chipping in to the industry and organisation.

About the Team

Reporting to the Site Lead Bulgana Wind Farm your duties as a Service Technician will see you play a pivotal role in undertaking scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment, to ensure ongoing high availability of the wind farm for our client.
