Overview:
As a Senior Level Data Engineer at ScholarRx, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure to support our organization’s data-driven initiatives. This position involves integrating data from diverse sources, maintaining a robust cloud-based architecture, and ensuring efficient, scalable data processing. Additionally, you will contribute to developing advanced data models and analytics solutions, enabling the team to derive actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure services.
- Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse.
- Optimize and manage data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.
- Build and support data-driven applications using C# and JavaScript, focusing on user-facing features that deliver insights, enhance data accessibility, and incorporate AI functionality.
- Play a key role in managing data and application infrastructure through Azure DevOps, supporting CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, version-controlled deployments, and the delivery of machine learning models.
- Maintain secure, compliant data systems (FERPA, GDPR, SOC knowledge is a plus).
Qualifications:
· Proficiency in data architecture, warehousing, and pipelines using cloud ETL/ELT tools (Azure Synapse, Data Factory preferred).
· SQL Expertise with a solid foundation in programming.
· Experience with Azure SQL, C#, JS, and Entity Framework is highly desirable.
· Familiarity with supporting machine learning models through reliable data pipelines and scalable infrastructure.
· Proficient in using Git for source control to manage and version software and data engineering workflows and pipelines.
· Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks (FERPA, GDPR, SOC).
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills in a distributed work environment.
· Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, data science, or a related field, (or relevant experience).
· A self-starter with a natural curiosity, capable of taking ownership of work and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
· As a small team, we expect team members to be flexible—approximately 15-20% of your time may be spent on software engineering or data science tasks as needed
