Scaling globally, we are seeking a talented Director, Finance to join our remote team of 250+ from around the world. As a member of our globally dispersed, remote Finance team, the role reports to CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the budget and rolling forecasts, reporting and cash forecasting process for the Company
- Oversight of the financial planning tools and technology, including driving the enhancement roadmap in partnership with our financial systems team.
- Support management in driving improvements, revamping and building centralized solutions (adapting to financial systems challenges for data extraction) to deliver scalable reporting, planning & analysis for leadership across organization.
- Lead in developing databases, scorecards, and models that add functionality to existing reporting tools in an efficient manner to support key stakeholders
- Working with executive management, accounting, finance, human resources and professional services to understand business priorities, identify strategic initiatives, and develop effective and timely and centralized reporting solutions.
- Manage the financial forecast updates, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow modeling, maintaining a close understanding of the business risks and opportunities
- Prepare board and other presentations as required
- Provide input through business modeling and pro-forma analyses to support strategic decision-making in day-to-day operations and new programs
- Work side by side with accounting team on topics such as variance analysis & reporting
- Facilitate improved reporting and communication of goals/performance throughout the organization
- Work with business unit leads to help them understand how their business is performing
- Internal and external reporting (board, banks, other lenders)
- Develop relationship with lenders to meet their needs
- Ad hoc special analysis projects (i.e. profitability analysis of products & services)
Key Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in the Business Administration, Finance or Math. MBA a plus
- Minimum 6-9 years' work experience in financial planning or sales analysis/operations, in roles requiring problem solving/analytic skills, project management and presentation skills
- Excellent analysis skills and the ability to identify issues/opportunities and recommend solutions
- Ability to develop moderately complex financial and operational models using spreadsheets and database software
- Demonstrated financial modeling knowledge and skills with strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Expert level in Microsoft Excel, Access & PowerPoint, Adaptive Insights and Planning or equivalent EPM, VBA skills
- Detail-oriented individual with tremendous amount of intellectual curiosity, and the ability to analyze a significant amount of data and synthesize into actionable information and insights
- Must show initiative, be hands-on, work well both independently on projects or as part of a team
- Proven ability to take on multiple projects at once and work through ambiguous requirements
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high growth environment
- Excellent project management skills and ability to drive projects to completion, with flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats, ranging from leading finance and operational discussions to working with data to provide thoughtful analysis
- Self-directed, self-motivated and demonstrated experience providing ideas and solutions to further business understanding
- Must be tenacious, with the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and when to look for alternative approaches
- Must be able to listen and interpret the requirements of internal clients, plan accordingly and exceed expectations working issues at all levels within the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- International experience a plus.
