Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in SolidWorks and experience designing continuous motion machinery. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development, improvement, and optimization of mechanical systems for high-speed automated equipment. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for continuous motion machines using SolidWorks.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings that meet industry standards.
- Perform tolerance analysis, stress calculations, and material selection for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, controls, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.
- Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems during development and production phases.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to company design standards and quality processes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related is preferred.
- 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (including advanced modeling and simulation tools).
- Hands-on experience with continuous motion machinery or high-speed automation equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, kinematics, and material properties.
- Familiarity with GD&T, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
