Job Summary: Manage and coordinate all pre-production activities both internally within NAM and externally with customers/suppliers
Essential Functions:
- Create and maintain the Project Master Schedules
- Identify Program delays, concerns and react. Create and track via Open Issues
- Primary customer contact during pre-production
- Follow GP-35 (APQP Procedure)
- Maintain: Project Management Sheets, Customer Required Documents, Working Database
- Prepare/attend/document Kick-Off meeting
- Prepare/attend/document all customer events and visits
- Facilitate all component and resin planning during development
- Oracle part information updates (BOM and Routings)
- Facilitate/responsible for all Sample, FG planning and customer orders during development
- Maintain and evaluate part costing
- Create initial Project budgets
- Manage Project Inventory
- Shows full utilization all Project Core Tools - ex: Part Reviews, Program Reviews, HVPT, Transfer to MP, ECOs, Project Database, Safe Launch, AIF, Design Change Kick-Off, Project Capitals
- Participate in Kaizen activities when applicable
- Maintain compliance to TS16949 QMS (Quality Management System)
- Maintain compliance to all Safety and Environmental expectations
- Responsible for overall project management
- Ability to identify and escalate project issues for your cross-functional team
- All other duties assigned
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology / Engineering or related field or 5 years experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Familiarity with injection molding/plastics to successfully enhance new project launch
- Familiarity with part assembly to successfully enhance new project launch
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate project delays
- Demonstrated ability to monitor costing/budget
- Demonstrated ability to take a project from KO to transfer (on-time)
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Critical Path
- Demonstrated ability to effectively maintain costing information
- Effectively utilizes all Project Core Tools
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language both verbally and in writing to create memos, correspondence, instruction, standards, often of a technical nature to successfully execute essential functions
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability and effectively participate and contribute to team projects
- Must possess a high level of concentration and ability to focus on details
- Must be able to communicate effectively with both floor associates and management regarding matters such as process, technique, equipment, tooling and other matters that pertain to essential functions
- Must be able to utilize computer software to generate internal and external correspondence, charts and graphs
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint and Excel. & Windows, and Oracle
- Proficient in math disciplines such as algebra, calculation of averages, etc.
- Must be a licensed driver with a safe BMV record
- Must be able to travel offsite, occasionally overnight (by auto and/or air) and internationally
- Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
