DescriptionAbout us:Upway is a fast growing startup building the largest marketplace for refurbished e-bikes globally. We have refurbished over 100,000 e-bikes in just three years and is planning to refurbish 1 million by 2030. Upway's mission is to make e-mobility accessible to a wide range of people. Our goal is to build the largest and highest quality e-bike range by sourcing and reconditioning the best e-bikes.
The Operations Lead, New York, will be responsible for owning the operational flow of our UpCenter in New York, our flagship location in the US. This includes managing all the teams in our UpCenter, including middle management, setting the priorities for the teams, managing the UpCentrer P&L and operational targets, building processes to optimize operations, analyzing data to understand and bridge gaps, and working closely with the rest of the company to provide best in class experiences to customers.

Key Responsibilities:- Build and lead a strong team of managers, operation associates and bike mechanics
- Define targets and priorities and make they are respected on a daily basis
- Own the UpCenter operations from A to Z, ensuring targets are met.
- Go deep into the day-to-day to find optimization opportunities
- Design and implement processes to optimize operational flow and financial efficiency
- Work closely with the rest of the company to support an extremely fast paced growth and expansion
- Culture and rules carrier
What you will need- Strong academic background
- 6+ years of experience in Operations, Warehouse/site management, Large team management. Military experience is a plus.
- Fluency in English. Spanish is a plus.
- Possess strong communication and leadership skills, able to lead, motivate and inspire a large team
- Superior problem solving skills: able to manage details, establish root causes, and find creative solutions.
- Comfort with working in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Attention to details and obsession for operational excellence
- Readiness to be fully accountable for a complex operational scope
