Manufacturing Engineer (CAD / Specifications)

North East Fasteners Corporation is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support engineering review, specification control, and CAD-driven manufacturing support within our precision fastener manufacturing operation.
This position works directly with Sales, Production, and Quality to ensure customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements are accurate before release to the shop floor.
We are looking for a steady, detail-oriented engineer who takes ownership of their work and prefers a structured, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
This is not a high-travel or high-turnover role — it is a stable, long-term engineering position within a well-established U.S. manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements during quoting and order entry
- Support contract reviews alongside the Sales team
- Verify drawing and specification revision levels upon order receipt
- Maintain specification and revision control within internal systems
- Manage revision levels for Military and Aerospace COTS products
- Create and modify CAD drawings for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with Production and Quality to resolve drawing, tolerance, and requirement questions
- Maintain organized and controlled engineering documentation
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on manufacturing engineering experience
- Strong CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and tolerances
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
- Clear communicator comfortable working across departments
- Reliable professional seeking a long-term role
Preferred (Not Required):
- Aerospace, defense, or fastener manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with specification control or revision management
- Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments
Schedule Flexibility
We offer multiple scheduling options:
- 5-day workweek: 8-hour shifts
- 4-day workweek: 10-hour shifts
- Optional 30-hour schedule (modified compensation and benefits)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 – $85,000 (full-time), depending on experience
