Role Overview
ANM Services is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a specialized background in automotive seating systems to lead our 2nd shift operations. As the primary quality authority during the evening production run, you will ensure that every seat leaving the line meets rigorous safety, aesthetic, and functional standards.
This is a high-visibility role requiring a "boots-on-the-ground" professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can make critical quality decisions independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Lead 2nd shift quality operations, ensuring all seating components (frames, foam, trim, and electronics) meet customer specifications.
- Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for line-side quality issues, performing immediate root cause analysis (RCA) to minimize downtime.
- Supplier & Customer Liaison: Coordinate with suppliers regarding component defects and communicate effectively with the customer regarding quality concerns or containment.
Required Qualifications
- Seating Expertise: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience specifically within Automotive Seating (familiarity with trim fit, foam density, seat structures, and safety sensors is essential).
- Field Experience: Proven track record of working on the manufacturing floor; this is not a "desk-only" role.
- Shift Flexibility: Ability to work 2nd shift consistently and provide handover reports to the 1st shift.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Quality) or equivalent hands-on experience in a high-tier automotive environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with specific OEM seating standards (e.g., Ford, GM, Stellantis, or Tesla).
