Job Description: Human Resources Manager for Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Location: San Antonio, TX Reports To: Regional HR Executive & local Operations President (Matrix structure) Position SummaryThe ideal HR Manager will lead and support human resources functions in a fast-paced automotive supplier manufacturing environment. This role requires a bilingual professional (English & Spanish) with 5-10 years of progressive HR management experience, strong team member relations, and a commitment to fairness and objectivity. The ideal candidate will also possess accounting acumen, advanced Excel skills, and an understanding of the JIT automotive manufacturing principles. Must have an adaptable work style, capable of achievement in a fast-paced work environment, and ability to coach other managers to achieve organizational needs and compliance. Experience with Japanese or other foreign owned manufacturing companies is a plus. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Member Relations- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture that builds trust and credibility with all team members- Serve as a neutral and objective resource for conflict resolution and employee concerns.- Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures without favoritism and with confidentiality HR Operations- Manage recruitment process for quality candidates filled in a timely manner, positive onboarding rocess and retention strategies, while optimizing our HRIS systems and reducing manual work in favor of automation.- Oversee performance management, training, and development initiatives.- Maintain compliance with employment laws and internal policies. Accounting & Data Management- Collaborate with finance on payroll, expense and labor budgeting, and cost tracking.- Utilize high-level Excel skills for HR analytics, reporting, and workforce planning.- Support audits and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Cultural Alignment- Champion support of our primary automotive customer by promoting continuous improvement (kaizen), respect for people, mendomi, and long-term thinking.- Integrate lean principles into HR processes and team development.Qualifications-Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. -UKG HRIS system experience preferred; must demonstrate utilization of technology to advance HR team and systems. -This is a hands-on, on-site position 40+ hours a week. Limited travel required except for training & self-improvement activities Communication & Bilingual Support -Must be a strong communicator to listen & provide feedback, conduct proper investigations, and own timely and positive communications in the facility. - Act as a liaison between English and Spanish-speaking team members.- Translate HR communications and facilitate bilingual co-wide meetings as needed.
