Position Summary
We are seeking a practical, detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and support electronic systems used in precision imaging products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the hardware, collaborating with manufacturing, and owning designs from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for scientific instrumentation
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, and supporting documentation
- Perform board bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation
- Collaborate with firmware/software engineers on embedded systems integration
- Support manufacturing, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Participate in design reviews and maintain engineering change documentation
- Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on electrical design experience (or strong entry-level candidate with internships/projects)
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCad)
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers)
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals
Preferred:
- Experience with mixed-signal systems, low-noise design, or imaging/sensor electronics
- Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations and regulatory compliance
- Exposure to scientific or optical instrumentation
Pay: $95,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
