Project Overview
You’ll be joining a newly formed team decommissioning legacy SQL-based infrastructure and rebuilding pipelines and logic on modern cloud-based platforms like Snowflake, AWS, and dbt. This is a high-impact role supporting one of Safelite’s most visible internal transformations.

What You'll Do
- Evaluate and analyze SSIS packages and document existing business logic
- Rebuild and convert data pipelines using modern technologies such as dbt, Snowflake, and AWS
- Migrate data from legacy SQL clusters to scalable cloud-based infrastructure
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define, test, and deploy clean, optimized pipelines
- Participate in architectural decisions to support Safelite’s broader SV2 transformation strategy
Must-Have Qualifications
This is a senior-level engineering role. Candidates must be sharp, experienced, and confident across both legacy and modern data stacks:
- Extensive experience with SSIS and understanding of package structures
- Expert-level SQL skills
- Proven track record of cloud data engineering work — migrating and transforming large-scale data in the cloud
- Proficient in dbt, including dbt seeds and modular pipeline builds
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Snowflake modeling and performance tuning
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services
- Exposure to Type 2 slowly changing dimensions
- Understanding of medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold)
Pay: $145,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
