Department PETROCHEMICALS MARKETING
Primary Purpose of the JobNegotiate and execute shipping contracts in the bulk shipping freight market. Develop the freight and chartering activity and ensure its continued growth and profitability in close coordination with the Asst. Manger, Shipping and Operations. Manage freight requirements from the Sales and Planning teams, engaging with an external client base, Shipowners and Shipbrokers as required.
Required Experience and Skills- Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years of chartering experience with a leading International Oil Company (IOC), National Oil Company (NOC), or a reputable shipping company.
- Strong knowledge of chartering and freight markets, with experience across a variety of contract types and geographical regions.
- Ability to leverage functional support teams and provide high-quality commercial recommendations to stakeholders while effectively identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
- Ability to operate successfully in non-standard environments where counterparties require significant support, while progressively introducing standardization, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Broad commercial and multi-disciplinary expertise across areas such as trading, risk management, sales operations, commercial activities, finance, contract administration, legal matters, economic analysis, and project management.

- Ability to make timely, risk-based decisions, often with limited information and under challenging circumstances.
Educational QualificationsBachelor's degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent from an internationally recognized university. Postgraduate Qualification (MSc. or MBA) preferred.
