Position Overview:
Enterprise Lighting Sales’ Lighting Controls division continues to experience significant market growth for lighting controls & building integrations and is currently looking for a qualified and motivated individual to fill an inside application engineering position in our Lighting Controls division. This person would assist in the design, quoting, and implementation of lighting controls systems for key market verticals for NYC Metro, Long Island & New Jersey Markets.
- Design of integrated lighting control systems consisting of product selection, design of basic riser diagrams, development of system specifications & requirements, and contract documents.
- Review of project drawings, and construction contract specifications to establish system design needs requirements.
- Serve as a technical resource to the agency sales staff-team as well as the professional design community.
- Internal project support and management
- Quote support.
- System Substitutions design applications of competitive control systems.
- Assisting with technical field support and site service coordination.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field experience.
- Familiarity with automated lighting controls systems
- Ability to read construction documents
- Computer skills required, particularly computer-related drafting tools such as AutoCAD 2D, Bluebeam, Office 365 etc.
- Basic understanding of computer networking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
Supplemental Qualifications:
- Familiarity with BMS/BAS BACnet IP Based communication protocols (Recommended)
- Knowledge of Industrial and other control system (Recommended)
- AutoCAD Revit
- Knowledge of building energy codes or sustainable building practices (NYCEC,ASHRAE & IECC)
Job type:
- Full-time in office (NYC)
Some travel is required and must have the ability to travel to job sites throughout the ELS territory (NYC, LI and NJ)
