Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Duties
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, including schematics and drafting.
- Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Create and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering projects.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations using tools like MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW to validate design performance.
- Ensure designs comply with ASME codes & standards and industry best practices.
- Develop system design concepts integrating programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino, and other automation components.
- Analyze mechanical systems for manufacturability, durability, and efficiency during the development phase.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
- Prepare technical documentation including schematics, drawings, and reports for manufacturing and assembly.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as GD&T to enhance product quality and reliability.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles combined with practical experience in mechanical design and system integration.
- Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, and drafting tools.
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) using software like ANSYS or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB, C++, LabVIEW, and Simulink for system modeling and control development.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex mechanical issues.
- Understanding of project scheduling methodologies to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels, piping, and mechanical components.
- Experience working with schematics, system design documentation, GD&T principles, and drafting standards.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, and automation systems used in modern manufacturing environments. Pay: $84,944.82 - $102,299.14 per year
