We are seeking a Product Engineer III for Wesanco-ZSI our Support Systems Division.
Role is Remote Based with a preference to be in the Greater St. Louis, MO area.
Overview:
Will play a key role in the development, maintenance, and support of Wesanco-ZSI’s product portfolio. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration with engineering, product management, operations, quality, and customer-facing teams. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with strong technical expertise in design, analysis, and manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities:

Update and maintain the product drawing and 3D model library.

Support made-to-order (MTO) and custom product requests, providing timely and accurate solutions.

Address and resolve technical inquiries from both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Assist with third-party product qualifications and industry standards compliance (MSS, MFMA, UL, etc.).

Create / maintain product test procedures. Perform tests on products and analyze test results.
-
Maintain and update Bills of Material (BOM) and product routings to ensure accurate documentation.

Contribute to product improvement initiatives by leveraging engineering analysis and customer feedback.

Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to optimize product design for cost, manufacturability, and quality.

Travel to manufacturing locations working with operations teams to support new product & MTO custom product launches.
- Travel to key customers to understand issues, solve problems and understand opportunities for new products.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical discipline strongly preferred).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred); understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) a plus.

Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, data analytics tools, and project management software.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Excellent communication skills to work directly with customers to understand questions and effectively communicate solutions.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
