Senior Backend Engineer (Go) – Biometrics Data Platform

About the Role
Vivalink is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Biometrics Data Platform team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will design and build scalable backend systems that power real-time health and biometric data applications.
You will work closely with product and cross-functional teams to turn complex requirements into reliable, high-performance systems, while also playing a key role in troubleshooting and improving production systems.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Own features end-to-end, from technical design to production deployment
- Work closely with Product to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Debug and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver high-quality features
- Contribute to system architecture and continuously improve platform performance
What We’re Looking ForMust-Have
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Strong experience with Go (Golang) or willingness to ramp up quickly
- Experience building and operating scalable distributed systems
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, system design, and backend architecture
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with time-series or high-volume data systems
- Familiarity with ClickHouse or similar analytics databases
- Experience with Python (FastAPI)
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to event-driven systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub) or gRPC
- Experience working with customer-facing technical issues
- Experience collaborating with global or distributed teams
- Mandarin language skills (a plus, not required)

Pay: $200,000.00 - $280,000.00 per year
