About the Role
We’re looking for a Data Engineer / AI Systems Engineer to help build the next generation of intelligent business systems. This role combines data engineering, applied AI, and workflow automation to create scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and decision-making across the organization.
You’ll work on modern AI initiatives including LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and enterprise automation tools while building the underlying data infrastructure that powers them.
What You’ll Do
- Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data models
- Build and support data infrastructure using Python, SQL, Azure Data Factory, and related tools
- Develop AI-powered applications using LLMs such as OpenAI and Anthropic
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using embeddings and vector databases
- Create agentic AI workflows for automation, reasoning, and multi-step task execution
- Build APIs and backend services supporting AI and data-driven applications
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions
- Improve business efficiency through automation and intelligent workflows
- Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and high-performing
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
- Experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data modeling
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and large dataset management
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar data integration platforms
- Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Experience designing RAG pipelines and working with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Azure AI Search, etc.)
- Experience building AI automation or agentic workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with Git and modern development practices
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fixed income, structured finance, or mortgage markets
- Experience with unstructured data processing, OCR, or document extraction
- Familiarity with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
- Experience with Spark or distributed data processing frameworks
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience preferred
- Strong project or internship experience in AI systems, automation, or data engineering will also be considered
Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
