POSTION DESCRIPTION
DEC Group is looking for an entry to mid – level Process Engineer that will perform detailed design and analysis of custom equipment for the Radiopharmaceutical/Nuclear industry. Typical equipment includes containment systems (gloveboxes and hot cells) and processing equipment that require environmental pressure controls, utilities, pneumatics, HVAC, and fluid systems.
This role is a Process Engineer position for an eventual new office location in Madison, WI where there will be regular direct contact with customers and vendors, design reviews, fabrication facility (located in Mauston, WI), and other engineering disciplines. The role is a hybrid schedule with an emphasis of in office in Madison, WI and occasional travel to Mauston, WI. Work from home remotely is approved for the right candidate though.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and solve designs of custom capital equipment.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary environment (Mechanical, Structural, EI&C).
- Develops Process Flow Diagrams (PFD).
- Develops Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Equipment sizing calculations.
- Process line sizing calculations.
- Pressure relief device sizing calculations.
- Mass & Energy balances.
- Choosing in line valves, gauges, instruments, etc. for designs.
- Design verification (review/check) engineering document submittals.
- Assist in interpreting client requirements of code/standard requirements to establish design criteria.
- Occasional travel expectation.
- Engineering support during fabrication phase of projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Skills, etc.):
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
- 0 - 6 years of experience.
- Familiar or assisted in developing P&ID’s.
- Familiar or assisted in line sizes and valve sizing.
- Familiar or assisted in designing layouts of piping and utilities for fabrication of custom capital equipment (i.e. HVAC, fluid loops, process utilities)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiar with AFT Arrow (or similar).
- Familiar of process systems within nuclear environments.
- · Local candidates to the Madison, WI region.
- · Experience in custom equipment fabrication process systems.
- · Familiar with designing fluid loops
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
