Senior Data Engineer - Boston, United States We are partnering with our client, a leading institutional asset manager based in Boston's financial district, to appoint a Senior Data Engineer to join our client's team. In this permanent role, you will be instrumental in building a modern, cloud-native data and analytics platform, collaborating closely with operations, data analysts, and business stakeholders. You will help design and implement scalable data solutions that power investment, operations, analytics, and client reporting, working within a hybrid model (in-office Tuesday-Thursday, remote Monday and Friday). Key Skills and Expertise
- Python for Data Engineering - Developing robust data pipelines and automation to ingest, process, and transform enterprise data.
- ELT with DBT, Snowflake, Snaplogic - Designing and implementing efficient ELT workflows to support modern cloud data warehousing.
- Data Modeling & Warehousing - Building operational data stores and data warehouses that provide reliable, well-structured datasets for analytics.
- Advanced SQL - Creating stored procedures, functions, and complex queries to optimize data access and performance.
- AWS Native Applications - Designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services for scalability and resilience.
- Scheduling Tools (Airflow, Control-M) - Orchestrating and monitoring data workflows to ensure reliability and timely delivery.
- Agile Ways of Working - Contributing in Kanban or Scrum environments to iteratively deliver high-quality data products.
- BI & Analytics (Tableau, Power BI) - Supporting dashboards and visualizations that provide meaningful insights to business users.
- Mentoring & Collaboration - Guiding junior engineers and participating in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
