Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Service Director, the person is responsible, in collaboration with existing sales networks, for promoting and developing our after-sales activities (spare parts, service contracts and consumables). Primarily in the municipal and industrial sectors, for our technologies and for our equipment installed in North America, the person will work closely with the various stakeholders in the sector such as municipalities, industries, contractors, consulting engineers, agents, etc.
- Promote all Veolia Water Technologies Inc. service and after-sales solutions in the municipal and industrial market in Canada;
- Promote Veolia Water Technologies Canada (VWTC) Headworks service and after-sales solutions in the municipal market in North America, with particular attention to spare parts sales in the United States;
- Manage, from the office, all sales and after-sales support activities in its territory;
- Align its market coverage priorities with the company's strategies defined by management;
- Ensure active monitoring of opportunities in its markets and update its CRM (SalesForce) accordingly;
- Work collaboratively with other business departments within the division or company to identify and develop joint opportunities;
- Actively analyze and communicate information on its market (competition, qualitative and quantitative market analyses);
- Provide technical support or assist customers in emergencies or troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- College diploma or bachelor's degree relevant to the position requirements
- Three to five years of experience in sales of water treatment related products
- Knowledge of water treatment processes
- Must be able to develop and present technical reports, proposals and presentations
- Occasional travel for sales development
- Valid driver's license required
- Proven sales experience (prospecting, account management, customer relationship development, etc.) and ideally experience in promoting service contracts or digital tools
- Ease of building relationships with great listening skills
- Adaptability, creativity and an analytical mind
- Bilingual French and English required. English is frequently used to communicate and negotiate with clients and suppliers outside Quebec and for contract reviews.
- Computer skills (Office, Google Suite)
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software (preferably SalesForce)
