Job Overview:
FedTec is seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer / Data Engineer with a strong background in database design, data integration, and Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience across all stages of the software development life cycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. Responsible for designing and developing database tables, stored procedures, and triggers, as well as managing daily data extraction and integration using ETL/ELT processes. The candidate will develop and maintain SSIS packages, and work with Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Pipelines to enable efficient data movement and transformation across systems. Proficiency in SQL Server, Visual Studio, .NET, and Active Directory is essential, along with familiarity in Azure Cloud, PaaS, DevOps tools, Power BI, and Team Foundation Server (TFS) for version control and collaboration. A Microsoft Certified Application Developer Associate certification (or equivalent) is required.
Responsibilities:
· Designs database tables, extract (import or export) data from SQL Servers into other data sources on a daily basis through the development and coding of stored procedures and triggers, as needed. Experience with ETL and ELT data integration
· Experience in Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Pipeline. Knowledge of Azure cloud and associated PaaS and DevOps tools. Knowledge of Power BI & data integration.
· Develops SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
· Utilizes Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) for source control, data collection, reporting and project tracking, testing and collaboration of project development.
· Conducts user acceptance review sessions and collaborates with other team members to perform debugging.
Required Skills And education:
· 8+ years of experience in all stages of system development life cycle, including conceptual design, software development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation enhancements of applications
· CERTIFICATIONS: Microsoft Certified Application Developer Associate or equivalent
· TECHNOLOGIES: utilizing Visual Studio, .NET with SQL Server for data management and Active Directory for identity management.
