We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead packaging design, validation, and implementation activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role combines technical expertise and project leadership, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design of packaging systems: labeling, cartoning, palletizing, and material handling
- Develop and review engineering documents, layouts, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, ISO, ASTM standards
- Support FAT, SAT, DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities
- Manage vendors, RFIs, submittals, and change controls
- Provide technical leadership during project execution and startup
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Packaging or related)
- 5+ years of experience in packaging engineering or equipment integration
- Experience in pharma, biotech, or regulated industries
- Strong knowledge of packaging equipment (cartoners, labelers, case packers, palletizers)
- Familiarity with validation lifecycle (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ)
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
Preferred
- Experience with e-Builder, MS Project, or project management tools
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
