Job#: 3030469 Job Description: As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable digital solutions across eCommerce, mobile, and enterprise systems. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX, QE, MarTech, and Data teams to translate business needs into pragmatic, high-quality technical solutions that support omnichannel retail experiences.The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with strong systems thinking, deep retail domain knowledge, and the ability to guide teams from concept through delivery while maintaining architectural integrity.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and deliver end-to-end solution architectures aligned to retail business goals and digital roadmapsCollaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable technical designsDefine integration patterns across commerce platforms, third-party vendors, and internal systemsProvide architectural guidance to delivery teams to ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and resiliency requirementsEvaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve digital retail capabilitiesSupport omnichannel initiatives across web, mobile, and in-store experiencesPartner with QE, UX, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality, well-tested, and operable solutionsContribute to reducing technical debt and promoting strong engineering practicesAct as a trusted technical advisor across cross-functional stakeholdersQUALIFICATIONS8+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture rolesStrong experience delivering B2C digital commerce solutions across web and mobileProven experience with composable commerce and modern integration patternsExperience with leading eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, or Salesforce Commerce CloudSolid understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and data integrationFamiliarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Next.js)Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearlyPassion for technology, learning, and continuous improvement Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
